Description
A good pair of English Queen Anne cannon barrelled flintlock pocket pistols engraved Edge. Probably R. EDGE who had a workshop in London 1725-1761. The makers name Edge engraved on one side of the frame and decorative engraving to the other side. 2 inch turn off cannon barrels. Silver wire inlay to the grips. Sliding trigger safeties. British proof marks stamped under the breech. Overall length 8 inches. Actions are stiff but otherwise in good working order. These pistols were made at exactly the right time in history to have been carried during the American Revolutionary war, as well as during the Napoleonic era. In good condition showing signs of wear and use. Ref 1012.
