A rare English Brass Barrelled Flintlock blunderbuss pistol by MOORE of LONDON. Circa 1740-1780. The 9 inch brass barrel engraved on top  with London. The gunmaker's name MOORE engraved to the lock plate. Brass trigger guard, butt cap, and ramrod pipe. Horn tipped ramrod. Overall length 11 inches. Some minor old dents to the woodwork, genuine signs of wear and use during it's working life, otherwise in good condition for it's age. This gun-maker was making pistols at the right time in history to have seen his work transported overseas and possibly used during the Revolutionary war of independence in the United States, (1775-1783). A rare and early type of blunderbuss pistol. Ref 4678.
