Description
A scarce antique Thai or Vietnamese Dha or Dah probably 18th-19th century. Traditional form with solid elongated hilt covered in bamboo binding and a circular brass hand guard. The brass circular guard embossed with flowers and leaves decoration. Grip is approximately 9.5 inches in length. Overall length 33 inches. Slightly curved blade length is 26 inches. The blade with one fuller running almost full length. Some minor damage and rusting, otherwise in good well used condition. This is quite an early sword, possibly even as early as the 17th - 18th Century. No scabbard. Ref 1745.
