A rare mid-18th century Spanish MIQUELET pocket pistol. The steel barrel retains some of the original silver decoration, inlaid at the breech. Iron ramrod pipe, trigger guard and skull-crusher style butt-cap. In very good condition and working order. This pistol was made at exactly the right period in history to have been carried during the American Revolutionary war 1775-1783, as well as during the French Revolution circa 1789-1799, and into the Napoleonic era 1799-1815. Calibre approx .65 cal. Some very minor dings and scratches. Overall length 7 inches. A superb example of a rare Spanish Miquelet pistol in original un-touched condition. Ref 3194.
