X X X SOLD X X X Spanish Cup-Hilt rapier. C 1700. Ref 3287
A good quality composite Spanish Cup-Hilt rapier. The guard, cross guard, and pommel appear to be original circa 1700. The deep bowl and blade are probably Victorian 19th century. The pommel, Knuckle-bow and cross-guards with much embossed original period decoration. Wire bound grip also appears to be original. The steel cross guard approx 10 inches long. The blade 33 inches in length. Overall length 41 inches. Very good condition. Rapiers made in Toledo Spain are some of the best swords in the world. This rapier has the look of being authentic 17th century. Ref 3287.
