A Very good British Military Flintlock Musket from the Napoleonic Era. Very similar to a Brown Bess musket, the lock engraved with a crown, "I. ADAMS" & "TOWER". Standard British military brass mounts including a brass butt plate engraved with "50", three brass ram-rod pipes, brass side-plate and trigger guard, and complete with its original steel ramrod. Circa 1790-1815. The barrel stamped on top with two very clear British proof marks. The wooden stock fitted with two sling swivel mounts. The lock in good condition and working order. Some wood chips around the rear of lock-plate, minor wear but a nice honest untouched example. Barrel length 40 inches. Ref 1626.
