An interesting American antique percussion single shot "Bootleg" pistol circa 1850. The bootleg pistol was so named because it was commonly carried tucked in a boot top where it was convenient to reach. The 3 inch barrel marked "New York 1854. Two piece wooden grips. In good working condition showing some some signs of use. Approx cal .36. Overall length 7.5 inches. Ref 9724.
