A Scarce American J.P. LOWER 6 shot .32 Rimfire Revolver. Circa 1861-1865. The top of the barrel engraved "J.P. LOWER". The cylinder marked 1888. These pistols were produced from 1861 through 1865 by William Uhlinger of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are a direct patent infringement of the Smith & Wesson Rollin-White patent. In order to disguise their origin, Uhlinger stamped various markings on top of the barrels, one of which was J. P. Lower. Named after a very well known arms dealer in Denver, Colorado. Overall length 10 inches. Wooden grips. Action in good working order. Good condition, showing some signs of wear and use. Ref 9245.
This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collectors item only.
