A rare British Military Cavalry Flintlock Pistol made by WOOLEY, SARGANT & FAIRFAX. The lock plate engraved with the makers name WOOLEY SARGANT & FAIRFAX and WARRANTED to the rear. Wooley, Sargant & Fairfax had a workshop at 74 Edmund Street, Birmingham. (1829-1830). The 9 inch very heavy .65 calibre barrel marked with two British proof marks. Brass trigger guard and standard military brass side-plate, matching brass butt-cap, ramrod pipe and fore-end cap. Captive swivel steel ramrod. Overall length approx 16 inches. This pistol is in much better than average condition. Action in good working order. In good condition with a few minor dings and scratches during it's working life. Ref 3441.
