A rare British military officer's short sea-service flintlock pistol dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, circa 1803-1815. The lock marked with a Crown over G.R. - Tower and small crown over 2 under the pan. The 9 inch barrel stamped on top with two London proof marks. Large BO and broad arrow stamped into the rear of the grip (board of ordnance markings). Standard military brass butt-cap, matching military trigger-guard, single brass forend pipe and brass side-plate. Spring steel belt hook fitted to the side of the pistol. Complete with its original iron rammer. Good crisp action. In good condition, showing some minor signs of use and wear. Overall length 16 inches. Ref 1015.
