Descriptions and condition of goods
We try to be as accurate as possible when describing items offered for sale however please remember that the majority of these items are well over 100 years old, many are over 200 years old and some may have minor wear, blemishes, imperfections, restoration including re-engraving or replaced parts, and signs of use etc, which are not always noted in our description.
Allowance must therefore be made for normal everyday use and repairs over time. These items are all antiques and you should expect some ageing to show.
Antique weapon mounts and parts can be, and were often, constructed of various materials for decorative purposes, and where precious metals were used in the construction, such as gold and silver, these were not always hallmarked in previous centuries.
