A very rare cased pair of Civil War Era Moore's patent .41 calibre rim-fire derringers, circa 1859-1860. Both pistols are silver plated and engraved overall. Serial numbers are 2008 and 2972 so they have probably been together in this wooden case since the year that they were manufactured. The barrels are engraved on top MOORES PAT F. A. CO BROOKLYN, N.Y. Good working order with very strong springs. Showing some wear overall and signs of genuine use. These original wooden cases for a pair of Moore's patent derringers are extremely rare. Case measures 9.5 x 4 inches. Overall length of pistols 5 inches.  Ref 4543.
