A rare 19th century percussion under hammer walking gun-cane. Sometimes referred to as a poachers cane-gun. Wooden walking cane grip would have originally come complete with a detachable wooden shoulder stock with screw release fitment. This shoulder stock is now absent. Two Birmingham proof marks on the top of barrel. Barrel length 28 inches. The steel barrel originally with a brown lacquered outer covering. Overall length 34.5 inches. Circa 1830-1850. A few minor scratches overall, otherwise in fairly good condition and in good working order. Will benefit from a good careful clean. A rare item. Ref 1737.
