An interesting American small size antique percussion single shot Bootleg pistol circa 1840-1850. Dating from the time of the Californian Gold Rush. Two piece wooden bag shaped grips held on with a single screw. Steel trigger guard. Used condition, a nice honest piece of American Wild West history and exactly the type of single shot pocket pistol carried and easily hidden by Gamblers of the time. Approx cal .31. Overall length 6 inches. Ref 6799.
