A very scarce large calibre ten shot double action pin-fire revolver with folding trigger. Circa 1865. Round barrel with a fixed ejector rod mounted to the side. The metal polished to a bright finish. The bag shaped wooden grips made in two pieces with a central screw. Push up loading gate with some engraving to the cylinder. Calibre is approximately 13mm. Good overall condition with little signs of use. Action in good working condition. These multi-shot large calibre pin-fire revolvers are known to have been carried by soldiers of the confederacy during the latter part of the US civil war circa 1864-65, They are very difficult to find. Ref 1901.
