A superb blued Belgian double-action 6 shot 7 mm pin-fire revolver of the type carried in the latter part of the U.S. Civil war. Circa 1865. The blued 4 inch barrel with foresight and steel ejector rod to the right side. The blued cylinder engraved with scrolling decoration and stamped with Belgian proof marks. Some decoration to the frame. The two piece wooden grips secured with a central screw and lanyard ring fitted to the butt. Swing up loading gate. Action in good working order. In very good overall condition retaining most of it's original blue finish to the barrel and cylinder. This type of large pin-fire revolver is known to have seen use during the last years of the American civil war (1861-1865). Overall length 9.5 inches. Ref 4445.
