A very scarce English Flintlock box-lock pocket pistol with screw-off barrel by Timings of London. Circa 1800. Stand of arms engraved decoration to both sides of the frame and the makers name TIMINGS engraved to one side and LONON on the other side. Screw off 1.75 inch barrel, sliding top safety and drop down concealed trigger. Rounded finely chequered grips. Overall length 6.25 inches. In good working order and condition. Action is very crisp. This is the type of small pocket pistol that was carried during the late 18th century as a personal protection weapon. Ref 2811.
