A scarce early model American Moore's patent .41 calibre rimfire single shot Derringer. Circa 1861-1863. Bronze nickel plated frame and 2.50 inch blued barrel. No barrel markings as was normal with the very early production. The barrel swings to the side for loading. This is the very early first model with detachable side plate and probably never had any barrel markings. Good working order and in quite good condition showing some signs of use and honest wear. These pistols were produced towards the end of the American Civil war era. Overall length 5 inches. Ref 3882
