A scarce continental double barrelled approx .50 calibre percussion pistol. Probably made circa 1845-1855. Engraved iron frame with two drop-down folding triggers. 2.5 inch barrels that would screw off for loading. Finely shaped fluted wooden grips terminating in a steel lobed butt-cap. Overall length 7.5 inches. Some very minor wear and blemishes otherwise in good condition and in good working order. A nice example of a double-barrel continental pistol that could easily have been carried by a gentleman traveller during the time around the American Civil War (1861-1865). Ref 3816.

This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collectors item only.
