A rare Napoleonic era British all brass Flintlock box-lock Blunderbuss pistol. Circa 1820-1825. The 3 inch long brass barrel swelling out at the muzzle to a bore size of almost .75 inch. London engraved to the side plate and the makers name ATKINS engraved on the other side plate. Probably Alexander Atkins who had a workshop on Grays Inn Road, London, he worked circa 1825, The barrel stamped on top with an Irish registration mark - AR 6965, Wooden ramrod. Flat sided  wooden grip.  Action in good working order with very strong spring, . Some very minor signs of wear and use during it's working life, otherwise in good overall condition. A good example of the type of weapon carried by a gentleman or naval officer for personal protection, during the era of the Napoleonic wars.
