A rare Napoleonic era Flintlock brass barrelled coaching Blunderbuss by Moore of London. Circa 1760-1780. The lock plate engraved with maker's name D. Moore. Daniel Moore had a workshop at 24 Fenchurch Street, London (1767-1775) and 34 Lime street, London (1776 -1800). The 17.5 inch brass barrel engraved LONDON and stamped with standard London proof marks. Barrel approx 1.25 inches wide at the muzzle. Decoratively engraved brass butt plate and a large oval shaped fancy escutcheon. Brass trigger guard, side plate and ramrod pipes. Complete with its original iron ramrod. Small piece of wood missing from side of the barrel. Some minor dings and wear to the woodwork, otherwise in good condition. Action in working order. Overall length 33 inches. Ref 2798.
