A rare Napoleonic era Dutch Military Officer's Flintlock Pistol. Circa 1780. The lock plate engraved with the makers name Keunings Maestricht and the letters AM. Rounded brass butt-cap, matching brass military style trigger-guard and ramrod pipes. 10.5 inch barrel. .72 calibre. Action in working order. This type of heavy calibre flintlock pistol were carried by Dutch Naval officers during the era of the Napoleonic campaigns of the late 18th-early 19th century. Overall length 17 inches. Large chip to the wood at the fore-end (please see photo) otherwise in good well used condition. Ref 2637.
