A Main-Gauche or left hand dagger, probably made in the nineteenth century in the style of a German or Italian dagger, originally would have been circa 1680-1700. Down-drooping cross-guards fitted with an integral side-ring counter guard. The blade double edged with a re-enforced area at the forte. Ovoid iron pommel. Grip still retains its original wire grip wrapping running full length down the grip. In very good condition. Blade length 10 inches, Overall length 15 inches. Ref 3990.
