A good quality English Flintlock Box-lock pistol made by HENRY NOCK of LONDON Circa 1740-1800 with a screw-off barrel. The side-plate engraved NOCK and on the other side LONDON. Flat sided walnut butt. Screw-off steel barrel, British proof mark to the underside of the frame. In working order and reasonably good untouched condition.  Overall length 6 inches. This is the type of pistol that would have been carried in a pocket or a saddle bag during the late 18th century by an English gentleman, traveller, or officer as a personal protection weapon.  Ref 4491.
This is a genuine antique pistol and it is sold as a collectors item only.
