A good French Napoleonic period Flintlock box-lock pocket pistol circa 1790-1805. The wooden bag shaped grips inlaid with silver wire decoration to the back. Screw off 2 inch steel barrel and folding trigger. Sliding safety catch fitted on the top of frame. The Pistol engraved "FATOU" to one side of the frame and "PARIS" to the other. The French gunsmith Fatou worked in Paris circa 1796-1805. In very good condition and working order. Overall length is 7 inches. Ref 7763.
