A fine English cannon barrelled flintlock pocket pistol by Bobbitt. Circa 1770. Decorative engraved side plates with the gun-makers name BOBBITT engraved to one side. 3 inch screw off cannon barrel. The walnut butt retaining all of it's silver wire inlay. London proof marks on the breech. Good crisp action. In overall good condition. Length 9 inches. A good example of the type of weapon carried for personal protection during the mid 18th century. Ref 4208.
