A very fine pair of 18th century ITALIAN Silver Mounted Miquelet Pistols. The makers name VIDALESIO engraved in a scroll on both lockplates. "FABR DI NAP" engraved in a gold inlaid cartouche on each barrel. The barrels also marked on top with gold inlaid decoration and fleur-de-lis. Overall length of each pistol is 12 inches. Flared blunderbuss style cannon barrels approx 7 inches long. The pistols are fitted with silver side-plates, silver trigger guards and fine silver fore-end pipes. The butt caps both have silver grotesque masks. The trigger guards with a noble families coat-of arms showing a rampant lion with crown above. Horn tipped wooden ramrods. Iron belt hooks. Carved shell decoration to each stock around the barrel tangs. The silver work undamaged. Both actions are in good working order.
