A fine nickel plated double-barrel Remington .41 calibre rimfire Derringer. The 3 inch barrels marked REMINGTON ARMS--U.M.C. ILION. N. Y. British proof marks to the barrels. Retaining much of it's original nickel plated finish. Finely chequered grip. This model Derringer was produced from around 1885. In very good condition retaining much of it's original nickel plating. Action in good working order. Overall length 5 inches. These famous Derringers were popular with gamblers and travellers in the 19th century American Wild West. Ref 3636.
