A fine Napoleonic era British Military Flintlock Pistol by Thomas. Circa 1810. The lock plate marked with the makers name Thomas. Possibly Henry Thomas of Newhall Street, Birmingham (1738-1811). Brass military style side plate, skull crusher butt cap, trigger guard and ram-rod pipe. The 9 inch round barrel stamped with two London proof marks. Iron ramrod. The number 1 engraved on the trigger guard. Good crisp action. In exceptionally good condition showing little signs of use or wear. Overall length 15.5 inches. A fine example of a privately manufactured military flintlock pistol probably carried by an officer during the Napoleonic wars. Ref 3620.
