A fine Lefaucheux 6 shot 11mm pin-fire double-action revolver inlaid overall with gold and silver decoration. Circa 1865. The six shot cylinder inlaid with gold Pheasant and other birds, silver line decoration along sides of the barrel, top of barrel is inlaid in gold with the makers name - E. PARIS, A BUENOS-AYRES. Decoratively engraved frame with lots of further silver & gold inlay. Extractor rod fitted to the side and swing-up loading gate. The barrel also engraved  to the side with the inventor's name; E. Lefaucheux. 5 inch barrel. Plain two piece black wooden grips secured with a central screw. Overall length 10 inches. Action in good working order. Some very minor scratches during it's working life, otherwise in good condition. A fine example of a pin-fire revolver inlaid with gold decoration that could have been carried during the latter part of the American Civil war. Ref 3491.
