A fine example of a British ELIZABETH the SECOND pattern Naval officers sword, the 32 inch blade still retaining all of its original polish and etched decoration. The blade has etched panels with the royal cipher E11R. The standard naval style brass hilt with a lion's head pommel and traditional D shaped knuckle guard. The brass guard embossed with a crown and anchor. Complete with its original black leather scabbard with 3 matching brass mounts. The original fish-skin grip retains all of its original wire binding. The black leather scabbard in good condition. Complete with its correct gilt braid sword knot or portepee. Overall length is 38.5 inches. This sword is in almost like new condition and would be suitable for a serving British naval officer to wear. Ref 3694.
