A fine English Queen Anne cannon barrel silver mounted flintlock pistol by Heylin. Circa 1780. Engraved on one side-plate with the maker's name HEYLIN and the other side CORNHILL LONDON. Joseph Heylin had a workshop in Cornhill London circa 1757-1799. Large silver escutcheon admist some silver scrolling. Silver grotesque mask butt cap with silver hallmark. London proof marks to the underside of the breech on the 6 inch cannon barrel. Overall length 10 inches. In good overall condition. A fine example of an English silver mounted Queen Anne flintlock pistol. Ref 3229.
