A fine engraved 6 shot 10mm pin-fire double-action revolver. Circa 1865. The six shot cylinder, frame and trigger guard heavily engraved with floral decoration. Stamped to the cylinder with ELG proof mark. Extractor rod fitted to the side and swing-up loading gate. Some fine engraving to the 4.5 inch octagonal barrel.  Nicely embossed two piece grips secured with a central screw and a lanyard ring fitted to the bottom. Overall length 9 inches. Action works fine in single and double action. In good overall condition with a few very minor dings and scratches during it's working life. A good example of a nice quality highly decorative pin-fire revolver dating from the era of the American Civil war circa 1861-1865. Ref 3975.
