A fine and rare Caucasian or Russian ball-butt Miquelet Cossack pistol of small size probably made for a boy with panels of silver metal nielloed decoration. The stock overlaid with several silver nielloed panels and bands. The barrel retained by 2 silver metal bands. The Miquelet lock is very stiff but still working. Circa 1810-1830.Calibre is approx .40 cal. Barrel length 5.5 inches. Overall length 10 inches. Good condition. An extremely unusual pistol. Ref 4190.
