A fine American Civil War era Colt Army 1860 model .44 Percussion Revolver. Manufactured in 1863. A genuine Colt Army percussion revolver that probably did see use during the American civil war. The side of frame is marked "Colts Patent". The 8 inch barrel marked ADDRESS COLT SAML COLT. These famous revolvers were the main pistol carried by U.S. troops and are known to have been carried by both sides during the American Civil War circa 1861-1865. Traces of original finish, very clear cylinder scene. All matching serial numbers- 135590. The serial number denotes the year of manufacture as 1863. Good crisp action and in good overall condition showing some minor signs of genuine use. This Colt revolver is in much better condition than most we have had in recent years. Overall length 14 inches. Ref 4617.
