A 19th Century English knife quite probably used as a Naval Dirk, double edged blade engraved at the forte - "CELEBRATED CUTLERY". Complete in original brass scabbard with two hanging rings. Wooden grip with a short nickel cross-guard. The wood grip inlaid with a central bone panel. Blade length 8 inches. Overall length in scabbard is 13 inches. Very good condition. Probably circa 1840-1860. Ref 2468.
