Items on this website will only be sold to persons aged 18 or over. To enable your order to be processed you must have read and ticked your acceptance of our terms and conditions on the order form and by so doing confirmed that you are aged 18 or over. All items are sold as collectors items and are not intended for use. Firearms are sold only as antiques / collectors items and are not fit for use. THESE ANTIQUE GUNS MUST NOT BE FIRED. You agree to this by placing your order. Firstly it is against the law of the United Kingdom to fire any antique firearm without the appropriate licence, and secondly metal fatigue in any antique weapons could result in serious injury or death. You may not place an order on this website if you are a person who is prohibited by law from owning an antique firearm.
Reservation of Title
All goods remain the property of Andrew Bottomley Ltd, until payment has been received in full, the title to the goods shall remain vested in the seller and title shall not pass to the buyer until the purchase price for the goods has been paid in full and received by the Seller.
Packaging and Postage
All items are sent securely packed and protected. We normally use Royal Mail Special delivery or Parcel Force within the UK. - we can no longer export antique weapons.
We would like to remind all our customers that whilst we make every effort to pack suitably, we can in no way take responsibility for the safe arrival of goods and take no liability for damage in transit. Orders are dispatched as soon as possible once payment has been received. Free U. K. delivery for all items. If you require insurance it is your responsibility to ensure that the item you have purchased is insured.
Insurance
Please note that if you require your parcel to be insured you must arrange your own insurance as we do not. Goods are usually dispatched by us using the Royal Mail Special Delivery service or Parcel Force "tracking" system.
Payment online by credit & debit card.
Credit or Debit Cards - We are pleased to accept Master-card, American Express, JCB, and Visa cards by using the World-Pay online fraud prevention website. Your online purchases can be sent only to the address where your card is registered. Should you need it sending to another address please pay by another method than by credit card, ie, by direct bank transfer. We do not have any access to your credit card information or record or store any of your payment information when you click to pay by card online and you will be automatically taken to the on-line secure payment site where you will be asked for your card and address details before the sale can proceed. We make no charge for using this latest secure online service, we do not have access to any of your information that you place online with the credit card company that you choose to pay by.
if you do request your purchases to be mailed to an address other than your card billing address, this is entirely at your own risk and your card company will quite possibly not cover any loss.
Our website updates automatically, once an item has been purchased online it will then immediately show as being out of stock. This is so that only one person can buy that item. If you click and buy an item on this website it is a contract of sale between you and us.
We will clear all funds before dispatch. Please note that any payment by bank transfer must be received by us within 3 working days of the sale. We do not accept payment by Pay-Pal.
Refunds
We offer a money back guarantee on all goods sold, if that item is not substantially as described provided that you contact us immediately and return the item in the same condition it was dispatched, within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Please do not return any item without contacting us first, as we have more than one address for accepting parcels. Return postage costs are not refundable. If you do not accept our Website Terms of sale, please do not purchase from this Website. By purchasing goods from our website you have agreed to the terms of sale. Please remember that all goods sold by us on this website, are sold as antiques, collector's items only and are not fit to be fired.
Exceptions:
This money back guarantee does not apply to any goods that may have been altered by the purchaser, cleaned, renovated, damaged, disassembled or otherwise tampered with by the purchaser without our knowledge.
Our Guarantee
All items advertised on this web site are authentic antique items and are guaranteed to be of the original stated period unless indicated otherwise. We take great care to ensure the accuracy of the description of items offered with regard to age, origin and condition, however please remember that all statements are in our opinion.
Descriptions and condition of goods
We try to be as accurate as possible when describing items offered for sale however please remember that the majority of these items are well over 100 years old, many are over 200 years old and some may have minor wear, blemishes, imperfections, restoration including re-engraved or replaced parts, signs of use etc, which are not always noted in our description.
Allowance must therefore be made for normal everyday use and repairs over time. These items are all antiques and you should expect some ageing to show.
Antique weapon mounts and parts can be, and were often, constructed of various materials for decorative purposes, and where precious metals were used in the construction, such as gold and silver, these were not always hallmarked in previous centuries.
