A Superb and very long, German single barrel flintlock pistol manufactured by KAHRL BUCHHEIM circa 1730-1740. The 14 inch brass barrel is engraved on top at the breech with the makers name "KAHRL BUCHHEIM". The butt cap, side-plate, ramrod pipes and trigger guard all made of brass and engraved with two faces to the side-plate. The brass lock-plate also engraved with the makers name "KAHRL BUCHHEIM". The pistol in excellent condition. Barrel length 14 inches. Some minor surface ageing to the hammer, otherwise a superb example of this German gun-makers quality work from the mid 18th century. Overall length approx 21.5 inches. Ref 1374.
