A stunning Belgian 6 shot pin-fire pepper-box revolver in almost mint condition.  calibre approx 7mm. Engraved Bayet Fres Brevetes. Circa 1865. The highly decorative engraved frame and barrels retaining most of its original blueing. The makers name engraved Bayet Fres Brevetes on the rear plate of the frame. Bayet Freres were reputable gunsmiths in Liege, they invented the famous pin-fire revolver combined with a dagger under the barrel. Chequered two piece grips. Folding trigger. Multi-groove rifling. Good working action. In excellent condition retaining much original blueing. Some very light rust speckling that would look better when polished off. A better example of a pin-fire pepper-box revolver will be hard to find. Ref 2822.
